Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Mirror’s Edge from DICE and Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 3. Mirror’s Edge is also available for the Xbox 360. Linear in their design, each level is essentially an obstacle course. It’s your job to guide Faith through the levels as quickly as possible, using her knack for running and jumping to keep her out of harm’s way. And in that sense, Mirror’s Edge feels like a sort of first-person platformer—the game is designed entirely around the idea of finding optimal routes and racing through the levels as quickly as possible. This video review features video gameplay footage of Mirror’s Edge for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Freedom Fighters for the original Xbox. Released in 2003, this game was published by EA and developed by IO Interactive, the team responsible for the Hitman series. Following the story of a man named Chris, you must stop a Soviet invasion as they attempt to take control of the United States and kill its people. This is a lesser known title, but it is one of the absolute best games of last generation! This CGRundertow review features gameplay and commentary from Classic Game Room’s Gabe.
